Located on a former surface parking lot, Irvine Exchange connects important elements of the urban fabric — the riverfront, Irvine Park, and downtown Saint Paul. The project embraced challenging site constraints by turning them into successful solutions, strategically tucking structured parking into a hillside with high bedrock and resolving limited areas for stormwater.
The result is a contemporary addition to the neighborhood that integrates at multiple scales. Two-story, three-bedroom walk-up townhomes provide a pleasant pedestrian experience, while the building transitions to a taller mass towards downtown.
